ARCAD Digital,
Accelerate your product development, from concept to pre-production.
Industrial Expertise & Support
ARCAD Digital operates as an outsourced R&D unit. I centralize mechanical, electronic, and software design to accelerate your product development. The goal: reduce development cycles and secure the transition to industrialization.
Each project starts with a rapid scoping phase, then progresses step-by-step according to your technical and budget constraints. Depending on your context, I act either as project lead or as direct support to an existing team — with the same level of integration and results-driven commitment.
Mechanical Design & Product Design
From 3D modeling in SolidWorks to industrialization readiness, I design mechanical assemblies optimized for manufacturing, usability, and component integration. Production constraints, material selection, equipment considerations, and cost control are all integrated from the early design phase.
Services: CAD design, industrial design, design for manufacturing (DFM), hardware integration.
Embedded Systems & Industrial IoT Integration
I coordinate hardware architecture and software integration. For projects requiring complex custom electronic boards or highly technical software development, I lead the design through specialized partners and development companies, while remaining your single technical point of contact.
Internally, I develop your automation scripts and commercial demonstrators (Python, Node-RED). I also design and assemble custom electrical equipment tailored to your needs.
Services: IoT architecture, electrical component integration, wiring and instrumentation, automation and sensor development.
Once the overall architecture is defined, I integrate into your workflow to oversee implementation.
From prototype to pre-production, my role is to streamline your technical phases.
I turn your concepts into operational realities by leveraging your internal tools or my fully equipped fabrication lab.
Rapid Prototyping & Small Batch Manufacturing
I operate a complete machine park to quickly move from CAD files to physical parts. 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining enable me to produce high-fidelity prototypes and pre-series parts within tight timelines.
Equipment: CNC milling machine, FDM & SLA 3D printing, plastic injection, custom machined aluminum molds, silicone molds, electronic soldering and wiring, cutting plotter, CO₂ laser engraving & cutting, metal fabrication and welding.
Mold Validation & Eco-Design
Before investing in costly industrial molds, I help secure your project. Using my low-pressure injection unit, I manufacture and test your prototype molds so you can validate part viability in real conditions at lower cost.
This testing unit allows early validation before committing to expensive industrial tooling. It also opens opportunities to explore recycled plastics (PP, HDPE) for pre-series production.
Benefits: Geometry validation (draft angles, shrinkage), in-house mold testing, rapid prototyping in real materials, and reduced financial risk before mass production.
Printed Electronics & Eco-Design
Some IoT projects go beyond the limits of rigid circuits: space constraints, curved surfaces, or eco-design requirements. Printed electronics (conductive inks on flexible substrates) address these challenges.
I have hands-on expertise in this field through my involvement in R&D and industrialization with ISRA, a specialist in this domain. By working closely with their research and production teams, I provide realistic integration of these solutions into your products.
Applications: flexible touch interfaces, capacitive surface sensors, RFID tags, photovoltaic films (OPV), mono-material eco-designed structures.
Technical expertise serving your most demanding industrial challenges.
From feasibility studies to small batch production, ARCAD Digital turns your technological concepts into operational realities.
Use Cases: Expertise in Action
ISRA — Industrialization of Printed Electronics
ISRA is developing a printed electronics division, diverging from its traditional smart card activities. My role covers the entire process: from R&D to commercial adoption tools, coordinating teams with diverse expertise — inks, chemistry, screen printing, electronics, machine operators, and sales. In the workshop, I optimized the Essemtec pick-and-place machine to reach industrial throughput and produced high-fidelity prototypes using the company’s existing processes. No external shortcuts: the goal is always to build upon existing know-how. On the commercial side, I developed demonstration applications integrating 3D simulations (Blender) to make these technologies tangible for potential clients.
A full-spectrum intervention — from workshop operations to commercial storytelling — supporting the industrialization of a breakthrough technology.
Server / NAS Enclosure (10” Rack) — NanoRack 2U
Design of a NAS enclosure for homelab infrastructure, engineering offices, and small businesses, with strong constraints for 10” rack integration. The objective: offer an open alternative to proprietary ecosystems with long-term maintainability. The solution includes Mini-ITX compatibility, multiple storage configurations (M.2 / SATA 2.5”), and full software flexibility (TrueNAS, Proxmox, Home Assistant). Material: PETG, selected for rigidity and suitability for small-scale manufacturing in France. This project illustrates mechanical engineering under tight spatial constraints, from CAD design to pre-industrialization.

Interactive & Immersive Experiences
Development of an interactive system to enhance heritage sites without modifying existing infrastructure. The system relies on portable equipment and a network of discreet sensors triggering sound and light events as visitors move through the space. The embedded architecture was designed for quick installation, easy maintenance, and adaptable storytelling depending on the location. A first real-world deployment took place in Tournon-sur-Rhône, validating both technical feasibility and visitor engagement impact. This project covers the full cycle: use-case definition, embedded system design, IoT integration, and field validation.
Event Interactive Kiosk (Photobooth)
Design of a photo booth intended for intensive event use, with two main constraints: standard shipping compatibility and zero on-site setup. The embedded system includes an SBC, camera module, and motion sensor for contactless triggering — directly addressing sanitary requirements. The magnetic, removable front panel enables fast customization for each event without modifying the core system. This project illustrates operations-oriented engineering: compactness, modularity, durability in public use, and reuse across multiple events.
Eco-Designed Sanitary Module Retrofit
HYMER S555 (1993)
Retrofit of a camper van sanitary module (1993): replacing the original chemical toilet with a urine-diverting dry toilet in a highly constrained space. The approach combined on-site measurements, CAD design, fabrication in 18 mm plywood, and integration of a TROBOLO® kit, taking into account real-world usage constraints (humidity, sealing, maintenance). The project was fully documented — schematics, exploded views, bill of materials — and published open-source under GNU AGPLv3. A concrete example of upgrading existing equipment with a documented, reproducible, life-cycle-oriented approach.
